Art Works For Sale

I sell my artworks via Art Finder.

I sell most of my works framed, except for the box canvases.  A few works are in inlay tray frames.

The price of the frame is included in the listed price of the artwork.  The price of the frame is a very tiny proportion of the price as I source the frames cheaply. This is how I can keep my prices affordable!

My framing policy is that I could never in a million years 2nd guess the style and taste of my customers.  Hence all my frames are sourced from IKEA.  I use their simple but elegant RIBBA line, in either White, Black or White Oak.

I consider the frames supplied as protective and as a display medium and support.  Artworks are expected to be displayed in a frame to bring out the best in the works.

Customers may like these frames - they are elegant.  However, as only a tiny portion of the amount the customer has paid for artwork has gone towards the framing, the customer can if they wish, throw the IKEA frames away, and have professional framers create a suitable frame, fitting with their own décor.

So what I am saying is : don't expect the frames to be done by a professional framer - I leave that up to the customer to decide : if they want the IKEA frame, or to source one of their own choosing.
